Aww that's sad... Maybe there's something you can do so you don't have to... Puppies really are your best friends sometimes.

it's always hard being faced with the prospect of having to rehome a much loved animal, especially when the reasons are beyond your control.

Can I ask how old the puppy is?

Would it be possible to rehome him to someone you know? That way you would at least still get to see him and keep up to date with how he's doing.

to post 2, exactly right. i don't think anyone realises that puppies really are a man's best friend. i love mine for sure. :)

to post 3, i'm not all that sure. due to the fact that i rescued the puppy, i don't know where he was before our home. he's still really young though, guessing the first owners never looked after it.

to put it short i found out yesterday evening that he'd been taken.

i'm kind of angry at it

Aww that is awful! I wish I could have helped somehow. I wish you the best. I know its easy to say, but try not to let it get you down. There will be better times to come in the future. Maybe for now you coould consider volunteering at an animal shelter if you are unable to have your own pet eh?

Ohmygosh Dan! That's so sad; I have a pet dog-- which we also rescued from the dog pound. I know that if my dog was just taken from me I'd most likely have a bitch fit :), but I'd be sad as crap. I feel so bad for you, and I just hope that you can at least see him somewhere.

why can't you go into details dan. surely this would help those who are unfamiliar with your situation understand why you had to give up the pup.

I agree. Maybe, there's something you could do to get him back. My guess is either that it's too emotional to discuss or that you're living in a place where dogs aren't allowed/if you're a minor, that your parents won't allow you to keep him etc.
